Jessica Davison
Jessica Davison is an experienced leader in disaster resilience, recovery, and community preparedness with extensive background in strategic planning, environmental management, and policy development. Prior to forming Training X, she was the Victorian State Lead Recovery and Resilience with Australian Red Cross.
She brings three decades of expertise from working in local and state government, consulting and in disaster recovery, and in her current work in building and supporting resilient communities. Her extensive experience in urban policy and planning, land use and environmental management, underscore her deep commitment to sustainable, community-focused solutions.
With a strong record of fostering partnerships among diverse stakeholders—ranging from government agencies and technical advisory groups to community organizations—Jessica has extensive experience in facilitating the development of collaborative community disaster preparedness and recovery solutions. Her forward-thinking, adaptive management approach positions her as a trusted leader in supporting communities to build resilience and navigate the challenges of climate change and disaster risk.
Jessica holds a Post Graduate Diploma in Urban Policy and Planning from RMIT and a Bachelor of Arts in Geography from the University of Adelaide.

Jai Edwards
Jai Edwards is a dedicated professional with extensive experience in disaster recovery, resilience, and community development. Before forming Training X, Jai was a Recovery and Resilience Officer with Australian Red Cross, where he played a significant role helping communities across Victoria prepare for, respond to, and recover from disasters. His expertise covers a broad spectrum of programs and activities focused on building community resilience and enhancing disaster preparedness.
With a strong background in managing and delivering community-led initiatives, Jai excels in engaging a diverse range of stakeholders at all levels. He has a particular interest in working with marginalised and vulnerable groups, creating accessible and welcoming environments, and incorporating diverse perspectives into planning and decision-making processes to strengthen overall community resilience.
Prior to his role at Red Cross, Jai worked in Local Government in a range of Recovery roles, actively supporting communities through the formation of Community Recovery Communities (CRC), subsequently working with each committee to identify community priorities, develop recovery plans, and provide the necessary support to achieve their goals. Jai's professional journey also includes significant experience in the training and education sector, having served as the CEO of a Registered Training Organisation for four years.
Jai holds Diplomas in Public Safety (Emergency Management), Project Management, Management, Advanced Diploma in Management along with numerous certifications in disaster recovery and community engagement from organisations including Melbourne University, Australian Institute of Disaster Resilience and Australian Institute of Public Participation (iAP2).
